I had a pretty fantastic weekend last saturday. I went to the Piazza ( near Zara Outlet) cafe round 8pm after the breakfast for il carpurco (Carpucino) and it was amazing. I had never gone by myself and I loved haggling with the taste. I think my italian is really improving, and if it isn’t, at least I think it is and that is all that matters.
I won’t list everything I bought all the way to the cafe. Of course stop by at il Centro. The heaven for glosseries shopping at this moment, but I will mention the prawn. I bought some prawn and no fish this time and it was the best prawn I have ever tasted.
I don’t even think I would have to be a decent cook to make the prawn from the market taste good. I am a convert. When I first arrived, I remember thinking, “I will never buy prawn from a market(Except Bintulu),” because they handle it bare handed and it sits out in the open all day. Eating is believing and it banished all doubts.
Cooking is my passion. Passion?...surprisingly !. Well, cooking is just for my free time at my apartment. Trying as much as possible the menu listed on my wall. Do i paste the menu on the wall. Well....Don't laugh dear!. It's normal for bachelor like me. ..who said that?...probably, the girl next doors?.
Ciao!. ___________________________________________________________________ Daneil Bedingfields- If you are not The One.

Maybe not many people are really concern about what happening in our world energy resources. And since last two days, this has attracted our atttention to move the focus to discuss the current senarios of world energy demand and resources.
In terms of economic perspective, fundamentally the current energy demand is almost saturated and this trends will last till the next 20-30 years if the world population is keep increasing, especially the drastic increase in Sourth Africa (2.7% population increase). China has shown their capability in developing the country and of course in the next few years, this country will be the largest energy consumption based on the growing of the population and energy demand. the bottom line is the world moving to other energy alternatives - energy evolution of other sources.
And over the past 20 years, the average world commercial energy consumptions has been aorund 1.4 tonnes oil equivalent per head.
Note:Source IEA (International Energy Association)
Mike Howard ( Well experience in oil and gas business and involved with the oil and gas business for more than 38 years), a oil and gas for Energy Economic has explained very detail to us last couple of days. What he said is true. May be, the future may not solely depending on current oil and gas reservation. The world has moved a step to invest to another alternative such as coals, nuclear, biofosils etc.
We did dicuss the current projection of the current energy demand and supply, and this topic is sometimes trigger the worry among ourself on the future business in oil and gas ( Friends of mine during discussion: Al Zabbi ( Qatar), Ij (Nigeria), Samer( Egypt), Alfonso(Mexico) and Zhang(China).
However, we have long way to go in this business. Eventhough the North American has achieved the highest peak in energy consumption. As an overall, the world energy will decreased in year 2060 based on the current oil and gas reservations. There will be more discovery with the latest technology?. Might Be.!
Italian food continues to be associated with the image of a pretty large guy eating spaghetti with meat-ball sauce - the reality is that in Italy practically no one eats spaghetti with meat ball sauce. Italians do have some meat sauce recipes that require long and laborious preparation (including marinating the meat for 3-4 days in aged red wine), but they also have an incredible number of variations of pasta dishes cooked with vegetables or seafood.
And when I say pasta, this is not equivalent to only spaghetti. Again there is an amazing range of forms, shapes, sizes of pastas, many of which are unique to specific regions. The variety in the Italian diet, the continued widespread reliance on fresh ingredients cooked on the spot, and the extensive use of vegetables, fruit and olive oil all contribute to the generally healthy state of Italians that on average appear to be much thinner than Americans, especially in middle and later years.
In my opinion, there is a direct relationship between being overweight and heavy consumption of industrial and chain foods, widespread soda drinking and avoidance of fruits, vegetables and reasonable amounts of wine, not only in the US but also among younger generations in Italy that love to imitate the American life style. A lot has been written about the health benefits of the Mediterranean diet. Without going deeper into the matter, I would like to tell you that Italian food - that found in Italy - is not only good for you but it really tastes great! Enjoy the adventure of exploring authentic Italian food, not only a delight for the senses but also an expression of the cultural and traditional heritage of the country.
The Eurochocolate festival of Perugia 2006 has its core center in the historic center of the city, from Rocca Paolina up to the squares and the internal areas: Carducci Gardens, Piazza Italia, Piazza della Repubblica, Corso Vannucci, Via Mazzini, Via Fani, The Terrace of the Covered Market, and Piazza November IVth.
The kermis Eurochocolate Perugia 2006 has earned in a couple of years the sympathy of the people asserting itself as the most popular festival of the chocolate and the most followed by Italians, making of Perugia the European capital of the chocolate. For nine days the Umbrian chief town transforms itself for the occasion in a huge open-air pastry-shop for the delight of all the greedy persons and the slaves of cacao. At Eurochocolate Perugia festival will be organized dozens of big events concentrated on the "food of the gods" with exhibitions, laboratories, internships, cooking classes, tasting, expositions, banquets, celebrations and the final prices: Eurochocolate Awards.
Each year new themes and entertainment are developed like for example "the prisoners of the chocolate" of the 2001 edition, and the activities of the section "Ciok si Gira!" dedicated to the cinema of the 2002 edition. For all the tourists the occasion is without any doubt a good one to discover the most remote corners of this antique medieval center and to enjoy the famous Umbrian hospitality. My advice is, as far as possible, to visit the stands not only during week-ends, when the most important affluence is forecasted, but if you guys can to profit from a brief holiday to calmly enjoy not only the delights of chocolate but also the artistic beauties of the city and of Umbria in general.
Date From 14 October 2006 to 22 October 2006 Frequency Yearly
Last year, it was recorded that almost 1,000,000 people came to join this biggest chocolate festival in Perugia. So, see you there again next year!
Review last GPShowdown This year’s MotoGP championship could be decided here on Sunday if Honda’s Nicky Hayden wins the Portuguese Grand Prix and reigning champion Valentino Rossi fails to place higher than fifth in the next to last race of the season .
However, the Yamaha rider and current champion is confident that this is not going to happen and he feels his sixth title in a row is clearly within reach .
Speaking ahead of the first practice session for Sunday’s race, Rossi said “I think this championship is only going to be decided on the last lap of the last race in Valencia” . Daa !!! Rossi is currently 12 points behind Hayden in the standings and the Yamaha rider observed that “with two races to go that’s not much. Last year here I had big problems with my tires but I still managed to make the podium and picked up 20 points” .
The seven times world champion said his strategy to clinch the title was simply to “make it to the podium in both upcoming races and collect more points than Hayden does without making any mistakes” .
Hayden has seen his lead over Rossi shrink from 51 points at the end of July to only 12 points over the past four races .
Since winning the USA Grand Prix, the Honda rider has come in fifth three times and was fourth once, while Rossi has won once, come in second twice and placed third . Rossi said he felt he had an advantage over Hayden because while the American is forced to defend himself, he has to catch up and is thus more motivated .
The Yamaha rider sized up his Honda rival as “a tough, determined and consistent rider. He’s improved a lot this year… but he still lacks that extra something, the ability to really turn it on during the last laps” .
Looking ahead to Sunday’s race, Rossi said “I don’t think the championship will end in Portugal. This will be an important race but not the most important. I’d say the next two races are of equal importance… And I’d like to clinch the title on the last lap in Valencia”. If the championship does go down to the last lap of the last race, the 27-year-old Italian rider had no doubts: “if we go one-on-one, I’ll beat him” .
Beautiful dreamer, wake unto me,
Starlight and dewdrops are waiting for thee;
Sounds of the rude world heard in the day,
Lull'd by the moonlight have all pass'd away!
Beautiful dreamer, queen of my song,
List while I woo thee with soft melody;
Gone are the cares of life's busy throng
