Mukhsin, The Third Chocolate Cake from Yasmin
Not a long time ago, she has made us proud. And again, what can i say about this filmmaker, Yasmin Ahmad. She is really making us proud. While two of her feature films, Sepet and Gubra, are still picking up awards at reputable film festivals all over the world, her third outing, Mukhsin, has been selected to compete at the 57th Berlin International Film Festival, and finally she managed to bring two of major awards for Mukhsin, besides so many critics and controversy against her films but it was not weaken her passions in this industry.

If i am not mistaken, Mukshin had wowed the audiences of the 19th Tokyo International Film where it was nominated for Best Asian Film. There is not other wonderful stories about Yasmin, a very dedicated and talented moviemaker.

Mukhsin, is a name of a boy, basically is a tender and touching story about a 12-year-old boy, Mukhsin and 10-year-old Orked (Sharifah Aryana Syed Zainal Rashid, the baby sister of Sharifah Amani who played Orked in Sepet and Gubra), who discover something more meaningful and beautiful about their friendship. However, during that time Orked is too young to understand the meaning of love while Mukhsin is in a progress of "akhil baghlil", till the end Mukhsin is still failed to voice what he feels about Orked. So, let's check it out what was happened after that in the cinema soon!.

After CINTA, now it comes with "Mukhsin" with an excellent direction and strong base of principles, cultures and passions.
